Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of CryptoDashboardPlus. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account and may expose you to civil or criminal liability.

This AUP is incorporated into and is part of our Terms of Service.

2. Acceptable Uses

CryptoDashboardPlus is designed for legitimate cryptocurrency portfolio tracking and management purposes. Acceptable uses include:

• Tracking personal cryptocurrency investments
• Managing business cryptocurrency holdings
• Analyzing portfolio performance
• Generating reports for tax or accounting purposes
• Setting financial goals and tracking progress
• Monitoring cryptocurrency prices and market trends
• Exporting data for personal records

3. Prohibited Uses

3.1 Illegal Activities

You may NOT use CryptoDashboardPlus for any illegal purposes, including but not limited to:

• Money laundering or terrorist financing
• Tax evasion or fraud
• Securities fraud or market manipulation
• Ponzi schemes or pyramid schemes
• Drug trafficking or other criminal activities
• Sanctions evasion
• Theft or embezzlement
• Any activity that violates local, national, or international laws

3.2 Unauthorized Access

You may NOT:

• Access another user's account without permission
• Use stolen or unauthorized API keys
• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to bypass security measures
• Exploit vulnerabilities in the service
• Use brute force attacks or password cracking
• Gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks

3.3 Abuse of Service

You may NOT:

• Use automated bots, scrapers, or crawlers
• Make excessive API requests that burden our servers
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent limitations
• Share premium account access with non-subscribers
• Reverse engineer or decompile the software
• Remove or modify copyright notices
• Create derivative works without permission
• Use the service to compete with us

3.4 Harmful Activities

You may NOT:

• Transmit viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Launch denial-of-service (DoS) attacks
• Engage in phishing or social engineering
• Distribute spam or unwanted communications
• Interfere with other users' use of the service
• Overload or disrupt our infrastructure

3.5 Misrepresentation and Fraud

You may NOT:

• Impersonate another person or entity
• Provide false or misleading information
• Create fake accounts or identities
• Misrepresent your relationship with any person or entity
• Use someone else's payment information without authorization

3.6 Intellectual Property Violations

You may NOT:

• Infringe upon our intellectual property rights
• Copy or redistribute our software
• Use our trademarks without permission
• Claim ownership of our content or code
• Create unauthorized mirrors of the service

3.7 Commercial Resale

You may NOT:

• Resell access to the service
• Offer white-label versions without permission
• Charge others for access to your account
• Use the service to provide competing services

3.8 Cryptocurrency-Specific Prohibited Activities

Due to the nature of cryptocurrency tracking, you may NOT:

• Use API keys with withdrawal/trading permissions - Only read-only API keys are permitted
• Track stolen or illicit cryptocurrencies - Do not use the service to track proceeds from:
  • Hacks, thefts, or unauthorized access
  • Ransomware payments
  • Dark web transactions
  • Proceeds from illegal activities
• Money laundering: Do not use the service to conceal the source of illegally obtained cryptocurrency
• Tax evasion: Do not use the service to hide taxable cryptocurrency transactions from authorities
• Pump and dump schemes: Do not coordinate or promote cryptocurrency price manipulation
• Ponzi/pyramid schemes: Do not track portfolios associated with fraudulent investment schemes
• Insider trading: Do not use data from the service for securities law violations
• Sanctions evasion: Do not use the service to circumvent economic sanctions
• Terrorist financing: Do not track cryptocurrency associated with terrorist organizations

4. Data Usage Restrictions

4.1 Personal Data

You may NOT:

• Collect personal information from other users
• Harvest email addresses or contact information
• Use the service for unsolicited marketing
• Share other users' data without consent

4.2 API Data

When using API integrations:

• Only use API keys you are authorized to use
• Do not exceed rate limits set by exchanges
• Comply with third-party API terms of service
• Do not use API data for unauthorized purposes

5. Security Requirements

5.1 Account Security

You MUST:

• Use strong, unique passwords
• Keep your credentials confidential
• Enable two-factor authentication when available
• Promptly report security incidents
• Log out from shared devices

5.2 API Key Security (MANDATORY FOR EXCHANGES)

When providing exchange API keys to CryptoDashboardPlus:

• ONLY grant READ-ONLY permissions - This is a mandatory requirement
• NEVER grant:
  • Withdrawal permissions
  • Trading permissions
  • Transfer permissions
  • Futures trading permissions
  • Margin trading permissions
• Verify before entering: Double-check permissions in your exchange dashboard before entering API keys
• Binance specific: ONLY check "Enable Reading" - all other boxes must be unchecked
• Coinbase specific: ONLY grant "wallet:accounts:read" and "wallet:transactions:read"
• Pionex specific: Use "View-only API Key" type only
• Regular rotation: Rotate API keys every 3-6 months for security
• Immediate revocation: Revoke keys immediately if:
  • You suspect compromise
  • You see unauthorized API usage on your exchange
  • You no longer use CryptoDashboardPlus
• Monitor usage: Regularly check API key usage logs on your exchange dashboard
• IP whitelisting (recommended): If your exchange supports it, whitelist only trusted IP addresses

6. Content Standards

If our service includes community features, user-generated content, or comments in the future, you agree NOT to post content that:

• Is defamatory, obscene, or offensive
• Promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination
• Contains adult content or explicit material
• Violates others' privacy or publicity rights
• Infringes intellectual property rights
• Contains false or misleading information
• Promotes illegal activities
• Constitutes spam or advertising

7. Reporting Violations

7.1 How to Report

If you become aware of any violations of this AUP, please report them immediately:

• Include: Details of the violation, evidence if available, and your contact information

7.2 Good Faith Reporting

We will not take action against users who report violations in good faith, even if the report turns out to be mistaken.

8. Enforcement and Consequences

We reserve the right to:

• Investigate suspected violations
• Access and review account data
• Cooperate with law enforcement
• Take immediate action without notice

8.2 Penalties

Violations may result in:

• Warning: First offense or minor violations
• Temporary suspension: Repeated minor violations or moderate violations
• Permanent termination: Serious violations or repeated offenses
• Legal action: Criminal activity or significant harm
• No refund: Subscriptions are forfeited upon termination for violations

8.3 Account Termination

Upon termination for AUP violations:

• Access to the service is immediately revoked
• Data may be retained for legal or security purposes
• You are prohibited from creating new accounts
• No refunds or credits will be provided

9. Service Monitoring

To enforce this AUP, we may:

• Monitor service usage patterns
• Implement automated detection systems
• Review flagged accounts or activities
• Analyze logs and access records
• Employ rate limiting and throttling

However, we do not actively monitor all user activity and are not responsible for detecting all violations.

10. Third-Party Services

When using third-party integrations (exchanges, APIs):

• You must comply with their acceptable use policies
• You are responsible for violations of their terms
• We may terminate your access if you violate third-party terms
• Third-party services may independently ban you

11. Compliance with Laws

11.1 Legal Obligations

You must comply with all applicable laws, including:

• Anti-money laundering (AML) regulations
• Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements
• Securities laws and regulations
• Tax reporting obligations
• Data protection and privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Export control and sanctions laws

11.2 Prohibited Jurisdictions

You may not use the service if:

• You are located in a sanctioned country
• Cryptocurrency is illegal in your jurisdiction
• You are prohibited from using financial services

12. Cooperation with Authorities

We will cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory authorities, including:

• Responding to valid legal requests for information
• Reporting suspected illegal activity
• Providing evidence in investigations
• Complying with court orders and subpoenas

13. Limitations

We reserve the right to:

• Implement usage limits (API calls, data storage, etc.)
• Restrict features for free tier users
• Throttle excessive usage
• Block IP addresses associated with abuse
• Require additional verification for suspicious activity

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time:

• Material changes will be communicated via email
• The "Last Updated" date will be revised
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance

15. No Liability for User Actions

We are not responsible for:

• User violations of this AUP
• Illegal activities conducted by users
• Harm caused by user misconduct
• User violations of third-party terms

Users are solely responsible for their own actions and compliance with laws and regulations.
